Janhit Sanskritik Kala Kendra came into existence in 1998 as a non-profit, voluntary organization with the aim of contributing to the overall development of society, so that every person can live in peace and dignity. The organization got its legal status on 8th April’ 2000 as it was registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. The registered office was situated in the district of Palamau in Bihar.
The organization had started working in various districts of Bihar through its branch offices. After the division of the state of Bihar, the registered office of the organization fell under the jurisdiction of the newly formed state of “Jharkhand”. So it had to get registered again under the same Act but from the state of Jharkhand on 12th April’ 2007.
The main objective of the organization is to help people initiate social change through awareness and motivation. People are divided by different forces, which in turn lead to the development of a feeling of exploitation among major rural populations. The organization makes the efforts to bridge the gap between the have and have not by creating public opinion and demonstrations on various issues affecting the local people. We also have the intention to bring changes in the lives of persons with disabilities through Skill Training so that they could be brought in the mainstream.

Janhit Sanskritik Kala Kendra was established as a Society in the year 2000. The rganization has been operating in the areas of rural development, social upliftment and skill development since inception.)
Work as a catalyst in bringing sustainable change in the lives of underprivileged children, youth and women, with a life-cycle approach of development.
To facilitate generation of adequate employment opportunities through a policy frame work.
To encourage and facilitate skill training for youth of India.
To monitor generation of employment in different sectors.
To facilitate launching of training programmes for both uneducated and educated unemployed persons for up-gradation of their skills.
To formulate area and trade specific strategies for maximizing employment opportunities on a sustainable basis in the State supported by private sector.
To facilitate a coordinated approach in achieving the above objectives for maximizing the benefits over time and space and in reaching out the most needy sections of the population.

Two decades ago, Janhit Sanskritik Kala Kendra was born from a vision of uplifting communities through sustainable development and social empowerment.
